$78,000 Grant Renewal

NextGen Thriving awarded a $78,000 grant renewal to Code for Life (C4L), to scale the work of engaging young people in New York City’s under-resourced neighborhoods. The additional funding will be utilized to grow the staff and bolster the organization's course offerings with expanded content and more instructors.

2022

$150,000 Grant Award

NextGen Thriving awarded a $150,000 grant to Code for Life (C4L), a Brooklyn-based nonprofit organization transforming the futures of young people in New York City’s under-resourced neighborhoods. Through high-quality software development courses, C4L equips students with essential life and technology skills needed to thrive in today’s digital economy. The goal is to create pathways to success, empowering youth with measurable, in-demand skills and inspiring a new perspective on their futures.

2021

$50,000 Grant Award

NextGen Thriving awarded a $50,000 grant to Juma. They align perfectly with the mission of our foundation to empower youth from underserved communities. Through the pandemic, Juma sites held 380 virtual workshops to keep youth earning stipends, learning skills like communication and resume writing, and connecting to a community of their peers.
